WHO IS SIGSITE FOR?

Connectivity surveys simplified

SigSite is a new cellular and WiFi test app. SigSite's ease-of-use and automation empowers experts such as consultants, service providers and radio engineers to delegate testing, survey more, and focus on optimization. It can be used by non-experts such as building occupants,  facility managers, IT managers and operations for self-surveying and prospecting.

Operations use cases include

  • Floorplan creation and/or overlays

  • Service quality assurance

  • Coverage assurance, i.e. Emergency Service Networks

  • Enterprise customer satisfaction

  • Competitive benchmarking

  • Sensitive and restricted locations access

Engineering use cases include

  • Testing new microcell sites

  • Network features and upgrade monitoring

  • RAN optimization

  • Cell site location and antenna pointing

  • Routine and cyclic testing

  • WiFi access points detection and mapping

SIGSITE IN ACTION

From top level scores to root cause

Take the pain out of in-building coverage surveys. This unique application collects signal strength and quality measurements whilst producing floorplans of the surveyed area.

With the new pick-up-and-go mode, anyone can carry out a walk-test, much like taking a video. While viewing the location in split-screen, SigSite automatically detects horizontal planes and accurately adds connectivity data to them. Place this spatial map easily and accurately onto floorplans, either on-device as you walk along or later in the SignalScore web app. Maps and floorplans can be imported or taken as pictures (i.e. from emergency exit plans).

  • Designed to drastically reduce the costs of in-building surveys

  • Automatically detects spacial planes as signal strength coverage data is collected

  • Can be used by facilities managers in self-service mode

  • Solves building access issues and reduces the costs of the survey

  • Data is loaded into your account for post-survey analysis.

  • Options exist for high-security, encrypted data retrieval and storage, i.e. sensitive locations (defense, law enforcement, government etc.)

HOW IT WORKS

Upload a floorplan

Before starting a survey you can import floorplans or maps to the device. You can also simply take a picture,  such as an emergency exit plan.

Walk around

Scan the indoor space by pointing the device -  no technical skills required.  SigSite automatically detects horizontal planes and accurately adds connectivity data to them. Place this spatial map easily onto floorplans, either on-device as you walk along or later in your SignalScore account.

Add markers

Add markers such as fire exits, staircases etc. to your survey data. Markers can be pictures or simply text entries that overlay to your floorplan, such as "CEO office", "staircase" etc.

Access reports

Data flows automatically from devices to your account. SignalScore creates data layers with metrics that accurately overlay over maps and floorplans.

Mass in-building surveys

SigSco-Icon-Red-Building 02.png

Challenge

Conducting coverage surveys inside buildings is expensive. Valuable resources can be tied up doing surveys and costly external contractors need to be hired

  • Indoor Plus can be used by staff or sent to the building manager for self-servicing surveys

  • Photos can be taken during the survey and are included in the floorplan file with an in-place camera preview

  • This solves building access issues and reduces the costs of the survey

Response

Compare radio performances

SigSco-Icon-Red-Router.png

Challenge

Access to all parts of the target building can be difficult to organize. After a signal survey, a physical survey may still be required to ascertain where to install any new infrastructure that may be required.

  • Mobile Signal Strength measurements are recorded on all bearers

  • The device can be locked to a specific bearer

  • SigSite can also capture Wi-Fi APNs as part of the survey

Response

Create and manage digitized maps

SigSco-Icon-Red-Map Route.png

Challenge

The absence of digitized maps is a hindrance. And after a signal survey, a physical survey may still be required on where to install any new infrastructure that may be required.

  • Floor plans are automatically produced for the area surveyed

  • The data files are uploaded to a central server for post-processing and export to other systems

  • Position markers and photos can be taken during the survey and are included in the floorplan file with an in-place camera preview
